This authorization is necessary, because without it, there can be no travel! <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">THE ESTA PROCEDURE: CONDITIONS<\/h2>\n\n<p>ESTA is a program whose main<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/en\/what-is-esta-for-when-traveling-to-the-united-states\/\">purpose<\/a> is to enable nationals of countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program to travel to the United States without needing a visa<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/en\/f1-visa-to-study-in-the-united-states\/\">(F1<\/a>, M1&#8230;)<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/en\/discover-new-york-city\/\">(ESTA New York<\/a>, Miami, Los Angeles&#8230;). To obtain it, the following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/en\/esta-requirements\/\">conditions<\/a> must be met: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Plan a stay of 90 days maximum;<\/li><li>The stay must be for tourism or business purposes, but not remunerated;<\/li><li>Make sure that the airline or shipping company you use is authorized to transport people benefiting from the program<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/fr\/les-formalites-darrivee-aux-usa-par-voie-terrestre\/\">(arriving in the USA by land<\/a> does not require an ESTA procedure).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>You must also have :<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>a return or onward ticket ;<\/li><li>A valid biometric or electronic passport;<\/li><li>a credit card enabling online payment, as the ESTA procedure can only be carried out over the Internet.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">THE ESTA PROCEDURE: STEPS TO TAKE<\/h2>\n\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve checked that you meet all the criteria listed above, you can start the procedure.<\/p>\n\n<p>You can visit the official U.S. government website or use our services to benefit from numerous advantages (handling of the application process, simplified <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/en\/esta-form-to-be-completed-in-french\/\">French form<\/a>, online assistance, etc.).<\/p>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/fr\/demander-un-esta-obligatoire-pour-les-usa-sur-internet\/\">compulsory procedure<\/a> takes the form of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/fr\/remplir-le-questionnaire-est-en-francais\/\">special ESTA questionnaire<\/a> to be completed in several parts. First, you must answer questions about your identity (surname, first name, date of birth, etc.). Next, you&#8217;ll be asked to provide information about the reasons for your stay (local address and emergency contact), as well as about your passport. The last part involves answering yes\/no questions (about your criminal record, state of health, etc.).   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ESTA PROCEDURE: RULES AND VALIDATION<\/h2>\n\n<p>Once the form has been duly completed, payment of $14 is required for your application to be considered. Once payment has been made, the U.S. authorities guarantee a response within 72 hours. The possible responses to a request are: authorization approved, authorization <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/en\/esta-application-pending\/\">pending<\/a> and authorization refused.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Make sure you reread the answers you&#8217;ve given, because if you&#8217;re refused because of a simple typing error, you&#8217;ll have to pay the application fee again, as you can&#8217;t change or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esta-officiel-usa.com\/en\/how-to-update-your-esta-authorization\/\">update<\/a> your ESTA.
