How do I make an official ESTA application?

To enter the United States, you must first obtain an administrative travel authorization.

PREPARE DOCUMENTS FOR TRANSMISSION

To fill in the information you’ll be asked for later, you’ll need several documents.

1. Your passport, which must be biometric or electronic.

2. Your credit card or Paypal account, as there is a fee for the ESTA application and you must pay the ESTA fee online.

COMPLETE THE VARIOUS STAGES OF THE FORM

The form is broken down into several equally important steps. Be careful to fill in the information correctly and truthfully. First, fill in the basic details of your identity, such as your surname, first name, date and place of birth, and e-mail address. Then fill in the reasons for your trip, including your local address. We remind you that the ESTA certificate is for tourist or business travel of up to 90 days, as well as transit (to Cuba or Hawaii, for example). Finally, the last questions concern your health and, above all, your criminal record. These are closed questions designed to check that you do not represent a danger to the United States.

MAKE THE PAYMENT AND RECEIVE THE ESTA BY E-MAIL

The last step before you get your precious ESTA is to pay the processing fee online by credit card. That’s all there is to it, and all you have to do now is wait for your authorization! As for the time it takes to obtain your authorization, it generally takes between a few minutes and 72 hours. Handy when you have to take off in the next few days! You don’t need to print out the document you receive by e-mail, but you can do so if you want to keep a written record.

Note: It may happen that you notice an error in your declaration, or that you need to modify your ESTA for minors or adults. In this case, you can update your authorization free of charge, under certain conditions.
