TRAVEL TO THE UNITED STATES: WHAT TO DO?
The USA is yours to explore, and there’s plenty to do. There’s something for everyone. If you’re dreaming of natural beauty, long sandy beaches or the cities of your favorite TV series or movies, find out more about the formalities for entering the USA.
EXPLORE NATURAL BEAUTY
The United States boasts a large number of iconic national parks, such as Yellowstone Park if you’re looking to enjoy nature and explore beautiful scenery, Muir Woods for its giant redwoods, Mesa Verde and its rich historical heritage, etc. Head for the Grand Canyon and its skywalk, Death Valley in the Mojave Desert or head west to visit the glaciers of Yosemite.
Don’t forget Alaska’s stunning scenery!
ENJOY THE BEACH
The United States is blessed with a multitude of magnificent beaches. California (Santa Monica or Malibu), Florida (Miami Beach) and Hawaii are the best-known places for surfing, and the year-round warm climate attracts tourists. But don’t forget the U.S. East Coast, home to some lesser-known beaches that are particularly beautiful in summer.
GO ON A ROADTRIP
One of the best ways to see much of the United States is to hit the road with your best friends or family. A road trip is like your own hop-on / hop-off bus, except that you choose your route as well as your pace. We recommend Route 66 or California’s scenic Pacific Highway 1!

The beginning of April means the start of the baseball season. If you get the chance, buy tickets, drink beer and have a hot dog (or one of the many specialties of made-in-the-USA cuisine). It doesn’t get more American than that! Yankees or Red Sox, take your pick!
HOW TO TRAVEL TO THE USA
The USA is a destination that’s easy to get to: tour operators, motorcycle tours (Harley Davidson?) and, of course, on your own.
Any stay in the United States is subject to approval of an entry permit, whether ESTA or visa, whether you are a minor or accompanied by a minor.
The Visa Waiver Program is a U.S. government program that allows citizens and nationals of 38 countries to travel to the U.S. for business or tourism purposes, for up to 90 days without a visa. The advantage of entering the USA under the VWP program is that you can travel to the USA several times over a two-year period. However, not everyone can enter the USA under this visa waiver program.
Citizens of all other countries must apply for a visa at an American embassy before entering the United States.
